Hebrew School 2.0

What is SHMA?

SHMA is an innovative alternative to traditional Hebrew School, (now 2.0). It is an acronym for Soul, Heart, Mind Academy,

a reflection of our goal to practice “whole person learning” in Jewish education.

We touch the Soul when we help our students find their own personal spirituality.

We touch the Heart when we foster a warm feeling toward Judaism and Jewish Values.

We touch the Mind when we pass along the great wealth of Jewish thought and heritage.

We call it an Academy because our students will leave our school with the skills to live a contemporary Jewish Life.
